“It’s the little moments that make life big”
Sam and I have taken a moment to visit our beautiful venue to finalise the menu and seating arrangements for the day. We are so excited we thought we would give you some “food for thought” in anticipation of our first scrapbooking event.
After registration which will open from 08h45am, your day will begin with pastry baskets filled with croissants, muffins, scones, cheese and jams and freshly brewed tea or coffee.
Thereafter, we will move onto our first page. You are sure to love the technique we have incorporated into this vintage, shabby chic style single page layout.
When last have you taken the time to scrap a photograph of yourself for your album ? Dig out those old slides, negatives etc. We had a good laugh going through our old photos. Weren’t we glam !
Don’t panic if you do not want to use a photograph of yourself as this page is suitable for just about any photograph. The page is not gender specific (oupa will do). We do however recommend a sepia toned photo.
While digging through your photos be sure to set aside some of your favorites. Our off the page project requires 12 photographs and the double page layout requires more than 20 photographs !!!! This should have you curious.
The off the page project would make an ideal christmas gift for friends or family, or even better, keep it for yourself. As mentioned above this project incorporates 12 photos. You could theme it with photos from your favorite holiday destination, your pets, your children, favourite objects, scenery etc. Colour, black and white or sepia - anything goes for this one ! We have no doubt that you are going to love the simplicity and time effficient nature of this project.
Before moving onto our double page, we are going to take a break and enjoy the spectacular views and a scrumptious buffet lunch. This might get your taste buds going:
Brandy scented chicken liver pate on a crispy herb crouton
Seared peppered beef skewer steeped in Soya and chilli oil
Vegetarian spring rolls served with a spicy paw - paw sauce
Fresh line fish skewer coated with sesame seeds, presented with a classic tartar sauce
Chicken tikka skewer with a sweet chilli sauce
Leek and caramelized walnut quiche
Oriental beef with spring onion on rye
Cucumber with cream cheese and avocado with flaked red salmon and spring onion
Butternut and coriander spring roll with a light curry sauce
Please feel free to let us know if you have any special dietary requirements and we will see what we can do. A non alcoholic refreshment will be served with lunch and a cash bar will be available for any further indulgences.
After this we will get stuck into our gorgeous double page layout. Sam and I finished these pages this afternoon and we are thrilled with the finished result. In true Scrap Studio style we have made full use of our signature chipboard elements to create a dimensional double page layout. If you enjoyed our “Life is Beautiful” page then you are definitely going to love this one. This project showcases all of your favourite photo’s. You know those photo’s that truly capture the moment, the ones that mean so much, the ones that let you relive the moment every time you look at them. We have designed this page to showcase those very special moments. No need to coordinate your photographs or your colours, once again anything goes.
All photo sizes will be forwarded to you shortly.
We will be ending the day with decadent desert and afternoon tea.
In addition to all of the product needed to complete the above pages and project, we have put together some extra goodies that will be sure to bring a smile to your face. On top of all these wonderful products, our sponsors have generously donated product to be drawn as spot prizes throughout the day.
You will not be disappointed. The value of your day far exceeds the R700.00 you pay.
So book now and spoil yourself before the craziness of the “silly season” begins.
Call, e-mail or even better pop in to the shop and book your place.
We look forward to sharing the day with you and hope that this will be the first of many.
